Océan of Colors 2012

Océ Direct Export (ODE) has started 2012 with the Display Graphics distributor's event 'Océan of Colors' at Océ Headquarters in Venlo. On 25 and 26 January, 14 distributors attended this DGS event which revolved around the pre-launch of the new Entry Level UV model and new DGS business opportunities for 2012.

Participants

The group of 14 distributors, coming from several different countries such as Russia, South Africa, Hungary, Egypt, the Middle East and Greece, where welcomed in the Netherlands at 24 January with a tasty dinner buffet at Château de Raay in Baarlo.

Pre-launch of the Arizona 318 GL

The event started with the latest trends in the DGS market and in particular the growing UV Curable segment. After the update of the current assortment, the exclusive announcement of the product followed. The low end UV curable segment is a fast growing new segment, with attractive opportunities for this flatbed printer. In this low end market segment, only belt transportation printers are offered so far. This means great opportunities for our new Arizona 318 GL. It was very unique that Océ Direct Export could already demonstrate this new entry level printer at the special climate measuring room at Research & Development in Venlo.

Interactive sessions

To expand new DGS business opportunities, several interactive sessions were held. During this two day event, sessions were given about Crystal Point Technology in relation with current and new applications, new market segments like Industrial and Retail printing, lenticular printing and service / primer aspects. Even some special local applications, produced with the Océ Arizona, were presented by the attending distributors.

Next to that, distributors received information on how Océ can help them improve their marketing communication to generate leads by using several different tools.

Social gatherings

During Océan of Colors 2012, there was also time for social activities. A unique Taiko workshop (Japanese drumming) was given by Circle Percussion. This group has been a trend-setter in a large variety of percussion concepts. They provided the group with an interactive percussion session filled with rythm and energy.
